Dr. Michael Harvey is an Innovative Senior Science Teacher at Lytton High School (Gisborne, Aotearoa New Zealand), where he supports teachers to translate emerging technologies into practical, high-impact classroom practice. With a background in science and physics teaching, he specialises in helping teachers design learning that strengthens student thinking, agency, and metacognition especially in AI-rich environments.

Michael works with educators to implement sustainable, culturally responsive, equitable edtech approaches, and he regularly facilitates professional learning on responsible AI use, UDL-informed design, and assessment practices that preserve integrity while improving access, both nationally and internationally. His training style blends evidence-informed practice with real-world examples, making complex tools feel usable, ethical, and immediately relevant.

Perry Opong is a Program Director and Senior Community Director at the YMCA of Greater New York with over 8 years of experience designing and scaling engagement programs across education, nonprofit, and community sectors. He specializes in building operational systems, CRM infrastructure, volunteer frameworks, and partnership networks that drive participation growth and strengthen communities. Perry has managed budgets exceeding $400K, led teams of up to 17, and consistently uses data-driven strategies to optimize performance. A graduate of the University at Albany with a B.A. in African Studies, he is passionate about creating inclusive, scalable programs that empower individuals and foster meaningful connections.

Kizzy Thompson is a seasoned educator with over 20 years of experience across New York City. Now serving as the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Strategist on our team, Kizzy brings deep expertise in designing inclusive, personalized professional learning experiences that empower educators to meet the diverse needs of all learners—especially students with disabilities and English Language Learners (ELLs). A passionate advocate for equity and access, Kizzy Thompson leverages cutting-edge educational technology tools to align instruction with the unique strengths and skills of each educator in the room.
