Dr. Michael Harvey is an Innovative Senior Science Teacher at Lytton High School (Gisborne, Aotearoa New Zealand), where he supports teachers to translate emerging technologies into practical, high-impact classroom practice. With a background in science and physics teaching, he specialises in helping teachers design learning that strengthens student thinking, agency, and metacognition especially in AI-rich environments.
Michael works with educators to implement sustainable, culturally responsive, equitable edtech approaches, and he regularly facilitates professional learning on responsible AI use, UDL-informed design, and assessment practices that preserve integrity while improving access, both nationally and internationally. His training style blends evidence-informed practice with real-world examples, making complex tools feel usable, ethical, and immediately relevant.
Dr. Stephanie Holmes
Curriculum Development & CDOS Compliance Lead
Dr. Stephanie Holmes is an innovative educator with 18 years of experience, including 11 years as a school leader in New York City. In 2013, she co-founded a transfer high school to support over-aged and under-credited students, reflecting her deep commitment to equity and access in education. A lifelong learner, she earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership from The Sage Colleges, focusing her research on instructional practices for trauma-impacted students and integrating social-emotional learning with rigorous instruction.
Beyond her leadership expertise, Stephanie brings a strong background in communications and digital media to enhance school culture and engagement. A former college athlete and high school soccer coach, she is passionate about supporting scholar-athletes and fostering resilience, teamwork, and leadership. Her work is driven by a belief in holistic, student-centered learning and creating transformative educational environments for future teachers and leaders.
Jennifer Peoples
Cybersecurity Education Specialist
Jennifer Peoples is a Cybersecurity Specialist whose journey reflects resilience and purpose. Growing up in the foster care system and later serving as a disabled U.S. Navy veteran, she overcame significant challenges to pursue success in technology. Her experiences shaped a deep commitment to creating access and opportunity through tech.
After five years of focused effort, volunteering at major tech conferences like RenderATL and Blacks in Technology, Jennifer secured her role as a Cybersecurity Engineer at Nexus Tech Solutions, supporting mission-critical government contracts. Guided by faith and a passion for equity, she now partners with McKenzie’s Adventures to advance initiatives that empower underserved communities through technology and workforce development.

Universal Design for Learning Strategist
Kizzy Thompson is a seasoned educator with over 20 years of experience across New York City. Now serving as the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Strategist on our team, Kizzy brings deep expertise in designing inclusive, personalized professional learning experiences that empower educators to meet the diverse needs of all learners—especially students with disabilities and English Language Learners (ELLs). A passionate advocate for equity and access, Kizzy Thompson leverages cutting-edge educational technology tools to align instruction with the unique strengths and skills of each educator in the room.
